What data we collect

mykopi.my collects the minimum data necessary to provide our services:

• Email address — only if you sign in via magic link. Used for authentication and to enable cross-device sync.
• Drink logs — drinks you log, caffeine totals, optional notes. Stored in our database so they sync across devices.
• Water logs — water amounts you log. Same as drink logs.
• Game scores — your best scores in Barista Battle and Kopi Crush, if signed in.

What we do NOT collect

• No personalized ads
• No advertising tracking cookies (no Facebook Pixel, no TikTok Pixel)
• No sharing of personal data with third parties for marketing

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager to understand which pages are visited and key actions (e.g. drink logs, game scores, price report submissions). Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to collect aggregate data such as pages, language, device type, and events. We do not send email addresses, names, or the contents of your logs to Google Analytics. Analytics data is not used for personalized advertising.

How your data is stored

Personal data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database in the Asia-Pacific region. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Your rights under PDPA 2010

• Access — request a copy of all your data at any time
• Deletion — request account and all related data deletion
• Correction — correct inaccurate data

User submissions

If you submit a price or cafe detail, your submission is held in our moderation queue until approved or rejected. After moderation, your email is removed from the public record (the submission itself remains with `source='user-submitted'`).

Data ownership

All coffee data (prices, drinks, index) is licensed under CC-BY 4.0. Any use of our data must include attribution to mykopi.my.
